Additive Manufacturing in Construction
AMC TRR 277

Location: TU München

M. Sc. David L. Wenzler

Doctoral researcher: for the duration of the research project carrying out the scientific studies. He will execute the LPBF experiments, the thermographic imaging of the LPBF process, data analysis, methods for correlations and listing of guidelines for AM elements.

M. Sc. Andreas Wimmer

was head of the department additive manufacturing at the iwb and assists Prof. Zaeh in leading project A02 and A06. He was instructing and supporting the academic staff regarding LPBF and WAAM.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Winter

acts as supervisor for the research fellows and gives special input to the WPs related to Technical Regulations. He is responsible for the above allocated WPs and together with PL Pittich for cooperation with allocated projects of TRR 277 and the management of project C07.

Dr. rer. nat. Christine Wolter

is head of the Department of Research Data Services at the University Library of the Technical University of Munich. In the TRR, she guides the staff of the I – Information Infrastructure Project. She is responsible for developing and continuing the data strategy in close cooperation with the Board. The strategy focuses on communicating and collaborating with all sub-projects, finding FAIR solutions that support the TRR researchers and their data, and publishing data along with the research articles.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Roland Wüchner

is Professor of Statics and Dynamics at the Technical University of Munich. He is project leader of C02 - 3D Structural Puzzle - Numerical Multiscale Shape and Topology Optimisation Methods for the Additive Manufacturing of Optimal Structures from Optimised Parts and further develops the existing methods of the Continuum-based Optimisation Approach (COA) within his research group.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael F. Zäh

guides the scientific staff in the execution of the LPBF experiments. He provides guidance in methods for analysing the main mechanisms of action and the correlation of the results for the whole process chain. Head of iwb and supports the academic staff regarding additive manufacturing, alignment and execution of numerical heat transport simulations, questions during validation and process development.

M. Sc. Jesus Daniel Meza Zeron

Daniel Meza is a doctoral researcher working at the Professorship of Structural Design at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Daniel’s main research focuses on creating fabrication-aware form-finding methods for vaulted masonry structures.
