Sebastian Dietrich began his career with an apprenticeship as a formwork carpenter (2002-2005), later attending craftsman school and working in construction and architectural firms until 2010. He then studied International Civil Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz and completed a Masters in Archineering at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, gaining experience in architecture and structural design. From 2017 to 2022, he worked at Bollinger+Grohmann as a structural engineer, focusing on projects involving existing structures and parametric design. Since 2021, he has been a research assistant at the Chair of Structural Design, researching topological interlocking structures, especially in the context of 3D concrete printing.
