Function of the AMC: Alumni

Dipl.-Ing. Anne Niemann
She will be the administrative co-coordinator. She will support Prof. Dr.-Ing. Harald Kloft and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Gehlen incoordinating the general public relation matters. Additionally, she will support Dr.-Ing- Jeldrik Mainka in TUM-related day-to-day management issues of TRR 277.
M.Sc. Tobias Recker
leads scientific teams for AM, fatigue and fracture and aluminium at MB and is responsible for the MB Laboratory. She supervises experiments and provides assistance in analysis and interpre- tation of results
M. Sc. David Richter
David is a civil engineer with a passion for soft- and hardware development, digital manufacturing, and prototyping. He obtained his master’s degree in civil engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), with a thesis focused on the investigation of printed carbon short fibre concrete under cyclic tensile stress. Prior to that, David studied philosophy and completed his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at TUM. Throughout his professional journey, David has gained valuable experience in construction management and execution. In these firsthand experiences on the construction site, David got to know the challenges of finding qualified staff and driving the adoption of new digital technologies in the industry. His passion for innovation and experimentation is reflected in different automation/digitization projects, both in the construction sector and other industry branches.
Dr.-Ing. Björn Riedel
was an associate researcher at the IGP and supports one of the doctoral researchers in the field of Engineering Geodesy.
M. Sc. Tom Rothe
is investigating the usability of prefabricated fibre reinforcement produced in a robotic winding process for different AM methods. He’s developing an automated production process of the fibre reinforcement for the special needs of the project. This includes the investigation of the most suitable reinforcement geometry, the build-up of a dynamic winding machine and the integration of it into a robotic winding process.
M. Eng. Ronny Scharf-Wildenhain
is a research associate at the Chair of Welding Engineering at Chemnitz University of Technology. His focus is additive manufacturing with wire and arc (DED-Arc). He is particularly concerned with process control and the properties of additively manufactured components made of high-strength filler materials.
M. Ed. Bettina Saile
was a scientific researcher in A08, with experience in concrete extrusion as well as in selective binding of cement. She was responsible for the cross-project coordination and organization at the TUM AMC Lab and was supporting the different projects in their planning and execution of experiments.
M. Sc. Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah
is a PhD. Researcher working under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Borrmann and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Petzold. In this capacity, on one hand, he is responsible for the investigation of the design and implementation of Virtual Research Environment (VRE). And the definition of new features in VRE. On the other hand, he is responsible for the investigation of the Data management and publication platform. And the definition of data management policy and plans. Moreover, he is responsible for the coordination and collaboration and, conducting training sessions and workshops to facilitate the adoption of these platforms in the context of TRR 277.
