Additive Manufacturing in Construction
AMC TRR 277

Focus Area Project: Project C 02

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Kai-Uwe Bletzinger

is the head of the chair of structur alanalysis. He is responsible for all actions, in particular regarding research, education and administration. He was esponsible for the C02 project and its coordination within the TRR. He guided all staff in that context and decided about research actions.

M. A. Frederic Chovghi

Frederic Chovghi is a doctoral researcher at the Professorship of Structural Design at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). His primary research focuses on the development of fabrication-aware form-finding methods for extrusion 3D printing.

Prof. Dr. Sc. Pierluigi D’Acunto

is TT-assistant Professor at the Professorship of Structural Design –Technical University of Munich. In his doctoral research the focus is on vector- based 3D graphic statics and design of spatial structures based on the relation between form and forces.

M. Sc. Sebastian Charles Dietrich

Sebastian Dietrich began his career with an apprenticeship as a formwork carpenter (2002-2005), later attending craftsman school and working in construction and architectural firms until 2010. He then studied International Civil Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz and completed a Masters in Archineering at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, gaining experience in architecture and structural design. From 2017 to 2022, he worked at Bollinger+Grohmann as a structural engineer, focusing on projects involving existing structures and parametric design. Since 2021, he has been a research assistant at the Chair of Structural Design, researching topological interlocking structures, especially in the context of 3D concrete printing.
